i've recently started running barefoot. i like it because it trains you to minimize friction and impact and it strengthens otherwise untouched musculature in the foot. this is what i've learned from my blisters:
use upright posture with hips under torso and knees bent
land on the balls of the feet letting the heel gently make ground contact
use small, quick steps
just run on asphalt; you'll quickly learn to minimize friction and impact. don't try to run powerfully. don't overdo it. i don't run barefoot all the time, maybe once a week i'll walk and run around my block. naked. if you are getting blisters you are running incorrectly and/or too much too soon.
