injury

i've recently run into more injuries than i'm used to. i think its because of overtraining (high-intensity too often). after reading 'power to the people' by pavel tsatsouline, i've realized that the solution to my problem lies in periodization.

training an exercise 5 days a week for example:
day 1 55% (of one rep max) for 2 sets of 5 reps
day 2 65% for 2x5
day 3 75% for 2x5
day 4 80% for 2x5
day 5 85% for 2x5
repeat next week

this is over-simplified. i strongly recommend 'power to the people' but you can find plenty of information on periodization on the internet.
